Business is booming in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital. There is construction almost everywhere, a symbol of Ethiopia's impressive economic growth over the past decade. Gone are the days of famine and grinding poverty, the government story goes. This is Ethiopia 2015, which they say, is on course to becoming a middle-income country by 2025. To add to this remarkably rosy picture, Ethiopia's 90 million citizens are part of a healthy, multi-party democracy that holds elections every five years, the government says. But not everyone agrees with this inspirational story of growth and democracy in what remains one of the poorest countries in Africa. They ask why, if everything is so good at home, are thousands of Ethiopians among the tidal wave of desperate people who make the perilous jo...

Ethiopians are serious about fasting and breaking the fast with phenomenal food! When you're in Addis Ababa next check out Go Addis Tours for their great food tour around neighborhood restaurants in the inner city. More info on Go Addis Tours: http://goaddistours.com/ In Addis Ababa you can eat a fried fish like this for less than $5 (sharing optional). In our second full length video we fly the Triple 7 Sim from the desert city of Dubai to the 'Hot and High' city of Addis Ababa, 7500 feet above sea level in Ethiopia. After a fan request to fly into ADD, we tackle the challenges that the airport's elevation presents to aviators. In the cruise chat, we get Jamie to explain how the sim operates technically including hardware and software information. *Links to software described in the video*: Sim-avionics www.simavionics.com Fly-Elise NG www.fly.elise-NG.net PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! After spending hours and hours in Entebbe airport, we finally took off to the next stop Addis Ababa but ofcourse one delayed flight leads to either another delayed flight or worse, missed flight... The latter happened to me! After all the whining and running up and down the whole airport, I came to terms with the fact that I was spending a whole day in the Ethiopian capital which turned out to be great! The airside of Addis Ababa BOLE international Airport (ADD). The only good side of this airport are so many chairs and beds for relaxing while waiting for next flight. All other is terrible: signs, toilet, organization, staff... Really unusual experience

Prosper Ethiopia visited Ayer Amba School in Addis Abeba. We came prepped with school supplies and money collected for 14 poor yet very promising students. We started off with ten students (one who was gravely sick the entire time we were there), then the school asked us to add two more students who were on the verge of leaving school due to circumstances in their life (mainly financial). One of the students chosen was the child of a blind woman- who was also a mother of three- who upon having received everything thanked us so graciously; she humbled herself and begged us to also include her other 2 children as receivers of the donations. With the help of so many friends and family members back home and also so many community members here in Edmonton, we were able to equip these 14 childre...
